Sue,

I have PDF file that I could email you. It won’t let me copy and paste it here. But if your son’s methylmalonic acid and homocysteine levels are elevated, it a good indication that his B12 is deficient even if his B12 serum level falls within the normal range. The liver can hold about a five year supply of B12 but illness, surgery and chemo can deplete it fairly rapidly. Give me your email and I will send you the PDF.

Marlene
