Thanks for the info. I guess there are sooo many variables that you’re not able to compare apple to apples. That’s interesting that they did full body radiation since there was no cancer involved cuz we did meet people that went through a BMT without it. I’m glad your friend is doing so well. It had to be scary going into it with just a 30% survival rate. For us, we learned that there is really no good way to predict outcome. John had no prior treatment and is behind the curve on recovery. The expectation was that he would have done better since he did not have ATG and was still classified as severe vs super severe. Where there were others that had ATG and were super severe who recovered much quicker. Go figure.

You just don’t know how your body is gonna react to the drugs and impact it will have on your recovery.
