Laura,
Did Larry have any test to establish a baseline level of male hormones? If so, what did you check and how? And one last question, what are the side effects, short and long term, of taking the hormones?
I am so glad to hear that his counts are improving so rapidly. It's got to be such a relief for the both of you.

A PBS show about new research about stem cells will air this week. Here is the link and a brief descriptor:
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/innovation/episode6.html
"This episode of INNOVATION looks at regenerative medicine and follows spinal cord and heart patients undergoing stem cell treatments — the tip of the iceberg in a promising but controversial field."
