Aplastic Anemia Central Patient Resource Center
Aplastic Anemia Central is a patient resource center. It is a place for people who have been diagnosed with aplastic anemia, myelodysplasia syndromes, bone marrow disorders and other autoimmune diseases to connect and get answers to questions that may not be available elsewhere. Please REGISTER HERE to CONNECT with other patients and access patient related information. Only registered patients and their advocates can view patient stories.
Let’s cut to the chase! If you want to see why I am advocating an alternative protocol, check the actual results of the current NIH strategy at the BMD Transplants Page.
Aplastic Anemia and MDS Patients – You are Not Alone!
One of the first things you need to know, is that you are not alone! Although it is a rare disease, there are many others who are dealing with the illness. Here is a link to stories from the original website where you can read how others coped with Aplastic Anemia. Here is a link to the AA-MDS Forum that has been around since 2006 and is a very useful way to connect with others and learn more about the illness directly from other patients. The International AA MDS Foundation is supported by pharmaceutical companies and is slanted towards conventional medicine, but it is a good place to educate yourself on the illnesses. The Resources Section of this website and its drop down menus are another way to quickly find additional resources.
My name is Bruce Lande and I am a long term survivor of Aplastic Anemia. I was diagnosed with this killer disease on January 9 of 2001 and am living proof that Aplastic Anemia and other Bone Marrow Disorders can be beaten! Click Here to Preview the Kindle Book (Paperback Version Available Shortly)
As of January 9, 2019, thanks to my first wife Sue who went to heaven on November 16 of 2014, several doctors and by the Grace of God, I am still alive. I developed a protocol to cure myself and have helped many others to beat the illness through alternative methods. There are certainly many people who followed more conventional strategies and survived but many suffered debilitating stokes and have long term side effects. Unfortunately, over my 15 years, I have conversed online with many who are no longer with us. After a long sabbatical from wanting to think about the disease, I decided to get back involved am am now offering my help to anyone who wants to contact me for additional information or to simply make use of the many resources at this website.
Aplastic Anemia Resource Directory
I am completely revamping, revising and updating the original website working from this Resource Directory. It is a “work in process” so don’t be surprised if you get a bad link or two. Original members used the directory page to navigate around the site and the web to find information about the illness and chat with other members. As the new site evolves, I will change this methodology, but this is a good place for you to start learning about how you can beat Aplastic Anemia and all of its autoimmune related cousins.
The directory has the original links to information that I discovered over 15 years ago and I will be updating and adding to the directory over the next several months. Please stay tuned and visit often as you can as more people become members . One of the first tasks is to create a members forum where you all can talk with each other. This was one of the most popular sections on the original site as you can see by the several links to old patient forums on the Directory Page.
I dedicate this renewed effort and this site to my first wife Sue, my wife Gay who has inspired me to get back involved and all the people who have contacted me over the years. At the time I was diagnosed, there was very little information on the internet so I created a website for people who are dealing with Bone Marrow Disorders like Aplastic Anemia, Myelodysplasia and other autoimmune diseases.
Welcome and please reach out to me with any questions you may have about the illness in general or how I beat Aplastic Anemia.
Aplasticcentral.com – the original site as it appeared in 2009 I unfortunately let that domain name expire and someone else claimed it.
Caution – The author is not a medical professional. This website is written by a long term survivor of Aplastic Anemia who advocates an alternative protocol that he believes saved his life. Bruce and other patients are only providing anecdotal evidence of methods that has worked for them. Please consult with a medical professional before using the information provided on this website. You will need a medical professional on your side at all times and especially for the life savings transfusions that will keep you alive while you are exploring alternative protocols.
